You do not create an account or give us your name or email to play. The game plays offline; the internet is used only for purchases, ads and Game Center.
Your case progress, gold, dogs, ships, quests and daily streaks are stored on your device and are never sent to our servers.
If iCloud is on, a copy of your progress is kept in your own iCloud account (Apple's iCloud key-value storage), so it comes back after reinstalling or on a new iPhone. We cannot see it.
If you are signed in to Game Center, your detective points (XP) and achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center. We do not receive that data.
Purchases and the Detective Club subscription are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. To verify and restore purchases we use RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated anonymous ID and the Apple purchase receipt. Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy. You can cancel the subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
The game shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may process your advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address and basic usage/diagnostic information. Policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Detective Club members and "Remove Ads" buyers see no interstitial ads. Rewarded ads are always optional.
We ask for your permission before any tracking. You can decline and still play the whole game, and change it anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Players in the EU/UK also see Google's consent form.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
